Threshold - Layer Two

I have never named a work before it's completion. In a way, I've always felt like the finished work just seems to name itself, but this time it happened backwards. This is where things start to muddy up a bit for the camera. There are glossy points and  more matted areas that don't show the pop of color that you would normally see once a work is varnished. It's also hard to see, unless close up,  a lot of the detail that is starting to make its way through. I've included some close-up shots, to show some of the detail. I am having a lot of fun with this one, and getting a workout in the process... this baby ain't light (measures just under 7 feet by 2 1/2 feet), and has to be moved, by hand, during each layering process.
Thanks for your interest in the process! I can't wait for layer three!

Kim xoxo.
