Introduction to Epoxy Resin
with Kim McDonald
This is an introduction to resin for clients that have previously produced a 12x12 inch piece of art in one of our acrylic pouring classes, and would like to seal their works in epoxy resin. All equipment and supplies will be provided for you, including very basic safety equipment (gloves and disposable dust mask). You are welcome to bring your own mask if you have something that you are more comfortable with.
If you have a piece made at a previous acrylic pouring class , that has cured for at least two weeks, and has been cleaned of any silicone (if used) or other residue, then you're ready to go!
In this class we will discuss safety, when working with resin. You will also learn how to properly mix and apply epoxy resin to an art piece, giving it a strong and beautiful permanent finish.
The class will run approx. an hour to an hour and a half. Finished pieces can be picked up the following week, after it has had time to cure.
Make sure to wear clothes that you won’t mind getting resin on, and it’s a good idea to tie back long hair.
You are welcome to bring a notebook if you would like to take notes.
Age Limit: 18+
Max Seats: 12 Class Min: 6 Cost for this class is: $32.00
$2.00 discount when paying through PayPal or Cash App.
