Resin Petri Coasters Class - Two part class
with Kim McDonald
This is a really fun resin project for pretty much anyone, from absolute beginners to those who are familiar with working with epoxy resin. I will provide all equipment and supplies, including very basic safety equipment (gloves and disposable dust mask). You are welcome to bring your own mask if you have something that you are more comfortable with.
You will also be provided with a mold that will produce 4 round (4 inch) coasters, and 4 round cork self stick backing pads, for when your project is all cured and ready to use. These make really great gifts!
Class one will run approx. an hour to an hour and a half.
Class two is about 30 minutes, while we de-mold our coasters. Class two will be set for the following weekend in most cases.
Participants will not be required to measure, mix, or pour resin. That will all be done for you, so all you have to do is sit back and relax while I explain, step by step, how this amazing technique works, then you get to do the fun part. Because epoxy resin needs several hours/days to cure to a point that you can de-mold it, this is a two part class. The second class will be the following week. The second class will be quick as we will simply be meeting up to de-mold our coasters and then you're on your way!
Make sure to wear clothes that you won’t mind getting resin on, and it’s a good idea to tie back long hair.
Age Limit: 18+
Max Seats: 12 Class Min: 6 Cost for this class is: $37
$2.00 discount by paying through PayPal or Cash App.
Supplies for this class must be purchased in advance so payment is required, in advance to secure your spot.
